Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Bruv Aviation ("Bruv," "we," "us"; Bruv Aviation LLC, now being formed in Texas, takes over once it is registered) collects through the Bruv app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain version: we use your data to run Bruv for your shop. We don't sell it, we don't show ads, and you can delete your account from inside the app.
Information We Collect
Account Information
Your name, email address, shop or organization name, and your role in the shop, plus basic sign-in details needed to keep your account secure.
Shop Data You Enter
Information you and your crew put into Bruv, such as:
- Parts requests, want lists and order plans
- Hours logged
- Logbook entry drafts
- Vendor names and contact details your shop saves
- Receipts and the amounts, vendors and aircraft they're tied to
- Photos of aircraft, parts and paperwork
- Bruv comes with public FAA books built in. Uploading your own manuals is coming later.
- Questions you ask Bruv and the answers he gives
My Record And What Bruv Remembers About You
If you use My Record, Bruv keeps your own work and training record: dates, hours, tasks, aircraft, and the name, certificate type and number of the person who supervised you. Only you can see it. Bruv also remembers things you tell it about yourself (like what you're working toward) so it can help you better. Please only enter a supervisor's details with their okay.
Voice
If you talk to Bruv, Apple's speech recognition turns your speech into text, and this may use Apple's servers. We receive only the text, not an audio recording. Voice is optional; you can always type instead.
Technical Information
The app doesn't collect analytics, crash reports or device details. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as the time of a request and whether it worked) to run and secure the service. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
How We Use Information
- To provide Bruv's features: answering questions, showing the FAA page, filing photos you drop in, and keeping want lists and hours
- To let Bruv learn how your shop works, for your shop only
- To keep accounts secure, fix problems, and provide support
- To contact you about your account or important service changes
Third-Party AI Provider
To generate answers, Bruv sends your question, any photos you drop in, and the relevant pieces of your shop data (for example, the book pages or parts records needed to answer) to a third-party AI provider, Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI models. This happens only with your permission, which the app asks for before any data is sent. If you don't give permission, AI answers won't be available.
We send only what is needed to answer the question. Anthropic processes this data to provide the service to us under its commercial terms. Under those terms Anthropic does not use it to train its AI models or for advertising, and keeps it only for a limited time under its own retention policy.
Other Service Providers
We use Supabase to host and store data and to handle logins and sign-in emails. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information or shop data.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking tools, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Sharing Inside Your Shop
Bruv is used by teams. Shop data you enter may be visible to other members of your shop's account, based on the roles your shop's administrator sets.
When We May Disclose Information
We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account and its data from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed on our normal backup cycle, within 90 days. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it (for example, billing records).
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Settings → Delete My Account, then tap Delete Forever. This removes your account and its data as described above, including your chats, My Record and what Bruv remembers about you. Items you added to a shop you don't own (like want list items, hours, receipts, photos and logbook drafts) are shop records and stay with that shop. If your account is a shop administrator account, deleting it removes that shop's data too, and the app will warn you first. You can also email support@bruvaviation.com for help.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. Bruv has no passwords: you sign in with an email link or Sign in with Apple. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your email account and your device secure.
Your Choices And Rights
You can view and edit most of your information in the app, and you can type instead of using voice. You can decline AI consent, but then you can't use Bruv's AI. You can delete your account any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete your data. Email us and we'll help.
Children
Bruv is a professional tool and is not for children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
Changes To This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
